ONW Now sophomore edition was what the 10th grade video class did for the final. Our class split up into multiple groups to cover different stories for ONW Now. We had about 5 groups for 5 different stories and two anchors and two sports anchors.


                                              Explain 

My group did a story about the new laptops that just got deployed. We got an interview with the principle Mr. Zucc and b-role of the laptops being handed out and students using the laptops. We felt this was a pretty important topic because they were brand new and Mr. Zucc explained what was going to happen with the laptops in the future.  


                                               Reflect

Looking back on this project, I think that we did well but we could have done a lot better job planning further ahead because we had trouble getting the interview scheduled and it took a little longer than expected.  Filming the actual news part was pretty fun but there was a lot of people in there so there were some people who didn't have jobs to do. But the show ended up pretty good and im proud of the work we accomplished.

2020 Updated Film Reel

This film reel was the updated version of my last one that had some of my sophomore work in it. But this time I only used this years work only with a couple of seconds from one of my sophomore films. The films that were featured were the Subway commercial and The Sandwich Hunt short film. They both had to do with sandwiches so I thought that it worked well but I also thought it didn't give enough variety. It basically told the story of a lighthearted situation portrayed in a serious way, but it's still funny. In the Subway commercial I was lighting and I also had to voice over when we lost the audio. In the sandwich hunt I was an actor and director. The cinematography in The Sandwich Hunt was slightly better in my opinion. Really only because the short film was longer so it had more variety in shots. But the lighting in both of them were pretty good. The shots of them on the bench in the commercial were done with a reflector and it gave off more light but still looking like

Carson's Color Wheel

                                                       What Was The Project The project was a color wheel that uses primary, secondary, and tertiary. I used Adobe Illustrator to complete the project. I used one circle for the outside and two triangles for the inside. The circles on the outside that are red, blue, and yellow are the primary colors. The squares on the outside that are green, orange, and violet are the secondary  colors. All the small triangles are the tertiary colors.                                                            What I Learned  I learned that there are different color schemes that are used with the color wheel like warm and cool colors, analogous, triad, complimentary, and monochromatic colors. Warm colors are colors like red, orange, and yellow. Cool colors are colors like blue, green and violet. Monochromatic colors are the different shades of a color. Analogous colors are any three colors next to each other on the color wheel. Triad colors

Music Video Professional Project Review

My favorite music video is the greatest song and music video from 2013, What Does the Fox Say. The cinematography is really good for what they had and its not like the song was super serious. It was about the sound that animals make and the fact that nobody knows what sound a fox makes. The lighting at the beginning is beautiful and you can tell that it is late afternoon or evening. The art design is really good and makes sense, you can tell that it is a party in a relatively big house near the woods. The story was about two guys who are at an animal costume party and they are trying to figure out the sound that a fox makes. It starts with one guy sitting on the couch singing and proceeds to go into the wood with a group of background dancers and him in a fox outfit. The story was told with dancing and sounds in the song that sound like what a fox might sound like.
