                                                        Final Project


The final semester project was ONW Now Sophomore edition which took about a week to get the b-role and edit my teams side of the video and two days to get the news ready and film it. Some of my teams challenges were getting an interview with Mr. Zucc. It was also hard to get some of the b-role of them handing out the laptops. The first day of news filming was kind of chill but didn't film anything but the second day was pretty wild. everyone did a good job but one of the anchors mics stoped working. I learned what the upper class-men in video do every day. I also learned how much concentration it takes to make ONW Now. Some of the feedback that we got was that one of the anchors was talking a little to fast but she fixed it during the shooting. My overall opinion on the video is that it was pretty good. Everyone did a really good job and worked really hard.


                                       ONW 1 in 2000 Feature News Story 

The ONW 1 in 2000 an interview were we had to find someone around the school to interview. The project planning and filming took about a week and the editing took about a couple days. It was kind of hard to figure out who we were going to interview and we had trouble getting the b-role. I learned that it is very helpful to have a mic and interviews went different than I originally thought they went.


During the shooting I think I used my time pretty well but editing was a little more difficult. I got more distracted during the editing faze. Most of the time I didn't finish early but if I did I would take some time to maybe polish it up a little bit. If I was behind on a project then i came i after school witch I did a lot.

My areas of strength are that I can follow directions and I like being in the video as well as filming the video. Some people only are looking to be a camera operator or an actor but I like doing both. I just need to get better at editing. I need to improve my acting. I do like acting but I am not really good at it. I try not to get distracted wile filming or editing but sometimes it happens.

The part I loved most about the semester was the final project. The final project was just really fun and it was more than we usually do for a video. I think I would have changed the self portrait video because personally I didn't really like doing that. But thats probably because mine wasn't very good and I couldn't think of anything to do for it. My goal for next year would be to try to work a little more faster so that I could turn everything in on time.

2020 Updated Film Reel

This film reel was the updated version of my last one that had some of my sophomore work in it. But this time I only used this years work only with a couple of seconds from one of my sophomore films. The films that were featured were the Subway commercial and The Sandwich Hunt short film. They both had to do with sandwiches so I thought that it worked well but I also thought it didn't give enough variety. It basically told the story of a lighthearted situation portrayed in a serious way, but it's still funny. In the Subway commercial I was lighting and I also had to voice over when we lost the audio. In the sandwich hunt I was an actor and director. The cinematography in The Sandwich Hunt was slightly better in my opinion. Really only because the short film was longer so it had more variety in shots. But the lighting in both of them were pretty good. The shots of them on the bench in the commercial were done with a reflector and it gave off more light but still looking like

Carson's Color Wheel

                                                       What Was The Project The project was a color wheel that uses primary, secondary, and tertiary. I used Adobe Illustrator to complete the project. I used one circle for the outside and two triangles for the inside. The circles on the outside that are red, blue, and yellow are the primary colors. The squares on the outside that are green, orange, and violet are the secondary  colors. All the small triangles are the tertiary colors.                                                            What I Learned  I learned that there are different color schemes that are used with the color wheel like warm and cool colors, analogous, triad, complimentary, and monochromatic colors. Warm colors are colors like red, orange, and yellow. Cool colors are colors like blue, green and violet. Monochromatic colors are the different shades of a color. Analogous colors are any three colors next to each other on the color wheel. Triad colors

Music Video Professional Project Review

My favorite music video is the greatest song and music video from 2013, What Does the Fox Say. The cinematography is really good for what they had and its not like the song was super serious. It was about the sound that animals make and the fact that nobody knows what sound a fox makes. The lighting at the beginning is beautiful and you can tell that it is late afternoon or evening. The art design is really good and makes sense, you can tell that it is a party in a relatively big house near the woods. The story was about two guys who are at an animal costume party and they are trying to figure out the sound that a fox makes. It starts with one guy sitting on the couch singing and proceeds to go into the wood with a group of background dancers and him in a fox outfit. The story was told with dancing and sounds in the song that sound like what a fox might sound like.
